The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) has released the clinical research industry’s first-ever competency guidelines for Clinical Research Coordinators (CRCs). ACRP publishes core competencies for clinical trial monitors
The Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) released a Core Competency Framework for Clinical Research Associates (CRAs) that defines the core competencies required of clinical trial monitors/CRAs. The initiative to define core competencies comes as the clinical research enterprise faces a major shortage of CRAs. The framework is open for public review and comment through March 5, 2017. National Board of Medical Examiners (NBME) debuts test to certify clinical researchers
The National Board of Medical Examiners announced that the organization has set its sights on improving the quality of clinical research by introducing the Certification of Excellence in Clinical Research (CECR). The new NBME exam will evaluate a clinical researcher’s knowledge, with a goal of helping to protect the well-being of trial participants, reducing delays and mistakes, and helping identify areas for improvement.
