San Diego scientist on “Brilliant 10″ list

Another San Diego scientist has made it onto a genius list…Liangfang Zhang, Ph.D. Professor, Department of Nanoengineering. Moores Cancer Center , was selected for the Popular Science nationwide search of the 10 most innovative young minds in science and engineering. Nanoparticles can shuttle medicines to diseased tissues with incredible precision, but they are often eaten by the immune system before they can reach their target.  Dr. Zhang disguises nanodrugs for effective treatment.  (Popular Science, Sept/Oct 2016, p. 49)
